Road Closed, Driver Hospitalized In Hamden Crash
An accident early Thursday morning has closed part of a major road and left one person injured.
HAMDEN, CT — A crash has closed part of Whitney Avenue in Hamden and left one person injured, according to police. Police responded Thursday to a report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:10 a.m.
Officers arrived and found that a vehicle had struck a utility pole, which was in need of immediate repair. Whitney Avenue from Shepard Avenue to Lawrence Road is closed while repairs are made.
The vehicle's driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.
