Road Closures Continue Due To Sinkhole In Hamden
The sinkhole issue is "more complicated than anticipated," Mayor Lauren Garrett said in an update.

HAMDEN, CT — Road closures will remain in effect due to a sinkhole in Hamden, Mayor Lauren Garrett said in an update on Friday.
The sinkhole was discovered at the intersection of Brook Street, Pine Rock Avenue and Gorham Avenue.
“The issue is more complicated than anticipated,” Garrett wrote in a post on Facebook. “We are in the process of determining our next steps.”

Garrett said the road closures established Thursday will remain in effect for Friday, Sept. 6.

- Brook Street is closed from Reyna Road to Pine Rock Avenue.
- Pine Rock Avenue is closed from West Helen to Brook Street.
