Sinkhole Could Lead To Road Closures In Hamden: Mayor

HAMDEN, CT — A sinkhole could lead to road closures in Hamden on Thursday, according to Mayor Lauren Garrett.

Garrett said a sinkhole was discovered at the intersection of Brook Street, Pine Rock Avenue and Gorham Avenue.

Public Works crews will be working on emergency repairs beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, according to Garrett.

“The repairs will likely take all day and may result in road closures,” Garrett wrote in a post on Facebook. “We will provide updates as the work progresses.”
