Special Olympics Will Hold Unified Sports® Fall Festival This Weekend
Competition in bocce, golf, sailing and softball will be featured

Special Olympics athletes and Unified Sports® partners are looking forward to competing at our annual Unified Sports® Fall Festival presented by Mohegan Sun which will return this weekend, September 13th-14th (and 20th-21st). All events are free to attend and open to the public. For more information, visit soct.org.
Sports featured will include bocce, croquet, golf, sailing, and softball. The event is expected to draw nearly 800 teammates and their coaches and will also offer health activities and resources to participants.

On Saturday, September 13th, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. -
* Bocce at Old Grove Bocce Courts - Savin Rock, 1 Oak Street, West Haven, Opening Ceremony at 9 a.m.
* Sailing at The Wadawanuck Club, 196 Water Street, Stonington, Opening Ceremony at 10 a.m.
* Softball at the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, 200 Clement Road, East Hartford, Opening Ceremony at 9:15 a.m.

On Sunday, September 14th, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. -
* Bocce at Old Grove Bocce Courts - Savin Rock, 1 Oak Street, West Haven
* Golf at Sleeping Giant Golf Course, 3931 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, Opening Ceremony at 1 p.m.
* Softball at the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, 200 Clement Road, East Hartford
Healthy Athletes Offerings
Through our Healthy Athletes® program, Healthy Habits Education will be offered at our bocce venue to educate Fall Festival participants about healthy habits they can practice to enhance their performance in sports and in their daily lives.
Performance Stations will be set up at our softball venue to guide participants through activities that include pre-competition warm-ups and post-competition cool-downs.
Both Healthy Habits and Performance Stations will be offered on Saturday, September 13th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
And then, on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. -
Croquet at The Ocean House, 1 Bluff Avenue, Westerly, Rhode Island.
