UPDATE: The scene has been cleared, and all lanes are open on Route 15 South in Hamden, according to the state DOT.

(Original post) HAMDEN, CT — Route 15 South is closed between Exits 50 and 46 because of a vehicle fire in Hamden, according to state transportation officials.

Crews are at the scene working to extinguish the fire.
