Where To See Santa In Hamden This Holiday Season

HAMDEN, CT — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many Hamden families.

In the Hamden area, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

Here are the details:

• Hamden Christmas Tree Lighting: Wednesday, Dec. 10. The Christmas Tree Lighting event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Town Center Park. The event will feature holiday songs, hot cocoa, caroling, Christmas tree lighting and Santa’s arrival by firetruck.
• Winterfair New Haven, every Saturday through Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at New Haven's Union Station, visit dozens of small boutique businesses, enjoy hot cocoa and meet Santa.
• Storytelling and Selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Join Santa and Mrs. Claus at The Shops at Yale, where they will read stories to children and take photos with families. This event is free and open to the public with complimentary snacks. Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Held in the Barnes & Noble/The Yale Bookstore, 77 Broadway (lower level), New Haven.
