What adventures can happen within museum walls? How do you unlock those adventures? Join us for a special reading of The Key to Adventure, the Museum’s new children’s book, and meet the author! Inspired by items from the Museum’s collection, this book brings Connecticut history to life through the eyes of an adventurous little girl named Prudence. Munch on treats, sip hot chocolate, and decorate a special key to take on endless imaginative adventures.

Problem Solved Brewing 2 N Rd #4 East Windsor, CT 06088

Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree! Our Guarantee: These tiny trees are so hardy we guarantee you can keep yours alive, or we’ll replace it.
This workshop will be hosted at Problem Solved Brewing. The space has a bar area and some tables, a game room, and an outside area. They've got darts, giant Jenga, Cornhole, and a nice assortment of other games, plus a few TVs.
Drink selection is always eclectic, which I appreciate - it's not just a ton of the same New England IPAs. They also have local wine and hard cider for those not interested in beer, as well as their own hard seltzer.
BYOF - We do not serve food but have sodas for purchase. Food trucks are not allowed on the premise, there are many nearby options for food which you can bring in to enjoy while in the taproom.

The East Hartford Commission on Culture and Fine Arts present the Shoreline Ringers in a free performance of "Silver Bells:&nbsp;A Holiday Handbell Concert" on Saturday, December 20 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon in the auditorium of the East Hartford Community Center, 50 Chapman Place.&nbsp;
The concert will consist of Christmas classics, inventive re-imaginings of beloved holiday hymns, and a bit of something for everyone who is looking to get into the holiday spirit.

First Night Hartford is our capital city's New Year's Eve tradition!...

Join us for a screening of an excerpt of the new Ken Burns documentary, The American Revolution, which examines how America’s founding turned the world upside-down.
Following the screening, a panel of Native American historians will explore the formation of the United States and discuss who was entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The panelists will include Lorèn Spears (Narragansett Niantic), Executive Director of the Indigenous-led Tomaquag Museum in Rhode Island, and Nakai Clearwater Northup (Mashantucket Pequot/Narragansett), Manager of Public Programs and Outreach at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center.
The panel moderator is Diane Orson, a special correspondent with Connecticut Public and a contributing reporter to National Public Radio. Diane reported and co-produced the 2024 series Unforgotten: Connecticut’s Hidden History of Slavery which was honored with an Edward R. Murrow award. Her reporting has been recognized by the Peabody Awards, Public Media Journalists Association and New England Emmy Awards.
Screening and discussion begins at 6:00 pm. Join us for reception from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
