2 Cats Found Abandoned In Laundry Basket In Ledyard

LEDYARD, CT — Two cats were found abandoned in a laundry basket in Ledyard. The cats are "very friendly, scared but sweet," according to a Facebook post from Animal Control.

The two cats were left on Long Cove Road between Conrad Court and the parking lot for the trails sometime between 12:30 and 3 p.m. Tuesday.

"If these are your cats please come to our office and properly sign them over to us," Ledyard Animal Control wrote. "We can gather all of their information, names, any vetting they have had and everything we need to know about them. We can get them into our vet and into a new home quicker that way."
