New Details Released After Major Blaze At Foxwoods
A massive response was required from emergency crews when a fire ignited at a restaurant Tuesday night.
MASHANTUCKET, CT — Three firefighters were hospitalized following a blaze at the David Burke Prime Steakhouse at Foxwoods on Tuesday night, fire officials said.
The fire broke out around 8 p.m. at the restaurant, which is located inside the lower level of the Grand Pequot Tower, according to WFSB 3-TV.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Fire Department said in a statement that they "provided an all-clear on the situation at the Grand Pequot Tower" at 12:30 a.m.

“The area has been deemed safe and secure," the statement reads. "All areas of the resort including The Fox Tower, Great Cedar, Rainmaker and, now, Grand Pequot Tower have resumed normal operations and are safe to access. Fire department personnel are on scene for clean-up of the area.
"The three firefighters were treated and released. We would like to thank our neighboring fire and police departments for their partnership and swift response in protecting the safety of our guests and team members.”

David Burke's Prime Steakhouse is temporarily closed, and a limited number of nearby restaurants may experience delayed openings, according to an updated statement from The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The rest of the Foxwoods property is open and operational.
No other injuries to guests or employees have been reported.
The blaze required a five-alarm response, and crews were still cleaning up the area at 1 a.m., WTNH News-8 reported.
Multiple agencies around the region responded to the fire including the Ledyard Fire Company, the Old Mystic Fire Department, Submarine Base Firefighters, and the North Stonington Fire Department.
David Burke Prime is a 13,000-square-foot steakhouse that seats 375 people, according to the restaurant's website. It opened in 2008 and has an in-house dry-aging room that uses a patented aging process. The steakhouse is located in the tower in the 300 block of Trolley Line Boulevard.
