Durham Resident Charged With Breaking Into Home, Attacking Man in Ledyard: Police
The assault happened on Meetinghouse Lane on Aug. 30, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — A Durham resident is accused of forcing his way into the local home of his ex-girlfriend and then assaulting a man inside, police said.
The attack happened on Aug. 30 on Meetinghouse Lane.
Police Capt. Ken Creutz said the attacker then fled the scene, but he was later captured by Connecticut State Police.

Shane Rodgers, 44, of 213 Foothills Rd., Durham, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, first-degree criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
After taking Rodgers into custody, state police transferred him to Ledyard police for processing.

Rodgers was held over the weekend on a $500,000 surety bond, and he is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New London today.
