Obituary: Priscilla (Lewis) Holmes, 89, Of Gales Ferry
Priscilla loved baking and cooking, trying new recipes and delighting in making special meals and desserts for her family.

Priscilla (Lewis) Holmes, 89, of Gales Ferry died at home on Saturday, June 16, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1928 in Boothbay, Maine, the youngest of 11 children to Eugene and Susie (Dunton) Lewis.
She was predeceased by her husband Faunce (Sam) Holmes. She is survived by her son, Eugene Blanchard and wife Tena of Pasadena, TX and her daughter Margaret Duval and husband Brian of Gales Ferry, CT, 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Priscilla was an avid quilter and loved putting quilts together for family and friends. Her latest project was putting items together for a craft sale with the proceeds going to sponsor a family at Christmas.
She also loved baking and cooking, trying new recipes and delighting in making special meals and desserts for her family, always making sure to have everyone’s favorites available at family gatherings.

Priscilla’s family will greet family and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wed., June 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. A service will be held on Thu. at 11:00 a.m. at Dinoto Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date in the family plot in Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay, Maine. A reception will immediately follow at 12 N Glenwoods Rd, Gales Ferry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carenet Pregnancy Center of SE CT.
