Rock Star Cancels Foxwoods Show Due To Death Threats
A popular artist has cancelled shows scheduled for this weekend due to a "credible threat."
MASHANTUCKET, CT — Morrissey has cancelled his show that was scheduled for Friday night at Foxwoods.
The resort-casino made the announcement on its website and said that tickets will be refunded. His show scheduled for Saturday at MGM Music Hall in Boston was also cancelled.
On his Instagram page, Morrisey's official page posted the following:

"Due to recent events and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and band, the upcoming shows this weekend at Foxwoods and MGM Music Hall have been cancelled. All tickets will be refunded automatically at your original point of purchase. We appreciate your understanding."
The show cancellations come following a "credible threat on Morrissey's life," according to MGM Music Hall's Instagram account.

A 26-year-old Ottawa man was arrested recently on allegations that he threatened to shoot the English singer-songwriter on the social media platform Bluesky on Sept. 4, the Ottawa Citizen reported.
Morrissey, 66, was the front man of The Smiths in the 1980s and has since then had a successful solo career.
