16th Annual Touch A Truck Draws 1,400+ for Family Fun and Fundraising
Madison Newcomers Club's Signature Event Raises $14K for Scholarships and Youth Services

MADISON, Conn. – On Sunday, April 27, more than 1,400 area residents of all ages rolled into the Surf Club in Madison for an action-packed morning at the Madison Newcomers Club’s 16th annual Touch A Truck event. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the shoreline buzzed with excitement as kids and adults alike explored an impressive lineup of big rigs. The event also featured toe-tapping live music, interactive exhibits, and a delicious selection of local food trucks, creating a full-sensory experience of fun, food, and family bonding.
A hallmark of the Madison Newcomers Club’s community spirit, the event brought together dozens of local businesses that generously donated their time, vehicles, and services. Trucks including fire engines, construction vehicles, and other larger-than-life machines were on full display, giving kids a chance to climb aboard and learn from the pros behind the wheel. While the event was free to attend, a suggested donation helped raise funds for two meaningful causes: the Madison Newcomers Club Scholarship Program—benefiting Daniel Hand High School graduates—and Madison Youth & Family Services, which supports the well-being of local children and families.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, this year’s event raised nearly $14,000, paving the way for even more opportunities for Madison’s next generation. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Platinum Sponsors Veterinary Associates of North Branford, the Rotary Club of Madison, and Bluebird Wealth Advisors, and Gold Sponsors TYCO Print and Madison Earth Care whose support helped make the event a resounding success

"Touch A Truck 2025 was a big success,” says Jenny Ney, Co-President of Madison Newcomers Club. “It’s always such a joy to see the excitement on the faces of kids – and adults – as they explore the trucks and connect with our community. But the impact goes beyond the fun. Every dollar raised supports scholarships for Daniel Hand High School students and vital programs through Madison Youth and Family Services. Thank you to all the volunteers, board members, and partners who made this year’s event possible!"
