Athletic Field Purchase To Be Voted On At Madison Town Meeting

Voters will have the chance to vote on the purchase of the LeSage Property.

Madison, CT - Residents will have the chance to vote on whether or not the town of Madison will buy the LeSage property.

Madison residents will have the chance to vote on the purchase of the land at the October 13 Town Meeting, The Madison Source reports.

Currently, the land is being leased by the town for the schools to use as athletic fields. For the past 12 years the town of Madison has spent $32,000 annually, or $341,000 total. to lease part of the LeSage Property at 351 Copse Road.

The owners and the Board of Selectmen negotiated a price tag of $800,000, according to The Madison Source.
