MADISON, CT — Students at Madison's Daniel Hand High School on Friday were dismissed at 12:15 p.m., after a busted sprinkler system "released water into a section of the building," according to officials.

No injuries were reported, and all students and staff were temporarily moved to Polson Middle School before the dismissal.

"At this time, students and staff cannot be in the building while we clean up and make repairs," officials said in a statement, but students were permitted to retrieve their backpacks from the high school before being sent home.

Parents were notified to pick up their student if they are driven to school. Buses were called in early to take bus riders, while students who drive themselves were able to leave at 12:15 p.m.
