Construction Begins On Pedestrian Improvement Project In Madison
The project, which is the installation of new sidewalks, is designed to improve access to Madison's downtown area, according to officials.
MADISON, CT — Construction has begun in Madison on a Pedestrian Improvement Project, which will install new sidewalks to improve pedestrian access to the downtown area, officials announced.
The work has begun on Woodland, Durham and Bradley roads, and is funded through the Community Connectivity Grant Program and Transit-Oriented Development Grant Program.
New 5-foot minimum width concrete sidewalks will be installed in the area.

"Please be cautious when traveling through the area," officials wrote in a statement. "The construction is expected to be completed by November."
