Construction In Madison Now Has Limits

A new ordinance will place restrictions on construction.

MADISON, CT - Sunday mornings will be a bit more quiet in Madison now.

Thanks to a recent update of the Buildings and Building Regulation, Fire Prevention and Protection, and Health and Sanitation ordinances, there will now be limits on construction times and days in town.

The old ordinance, established in 1971, will now set limits for construction throughout the year in Madison, The Madison Source reports.

According to The Source, the newly updated ordinance places limits on construction. From April-October, constructions times are: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and no Sunday construction allowed.

From November-March, construction is allowed from sunrise to sunset, Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and no Sunday construction is allowed, The Source reports.

If the ordinance is violated, the contractor will face a $200 fine.
