Democrats Nominate Candidate For 101st State Representative Seat

The seat is currently held by Republican Noreen Kokoruda; the election for the seat will be held this coming November.

MADISON, CT - Democrats have nominated John-Michael Parker as their candidate for state representative in the 101st District.

The seat which represents Madison and parts of Durham is currently occupied by Republican Noreen Kokoruda.

Parker, an alumni of Madison public schools and Yale University, in accepting the nomination, spoke “about the need to support economic development across the state in order to get our budget back on track; to fight for our fair share of funding—particularly through the Education Cost Sharing program—in order to relieve the squeeze on local municipal budgets; and to stand up for our seniors and working families.

Parker emphasized a need to work harder and more creatively at making Madison and Durham more accessible and affordable—not just for long-time residents, but also for young professionals, like himself, who want to build a life and career in our district.

Kokoruda will be seeking her fifth term.
