MADISON, CT — In advance of what now-Tropical Storm Henri has in store for the shoreline, Madison's Emergency Operations team is meeting Friday to prepare.

According to First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons, and Madison Emergency Management director Sam DeBurra, the team's goal Friday is to review preparedness plans and "ensure all public safety teams are taking the appropriate precautions to be ready for the storm, including possible power outages."

Lyons said that these preparedness measures include preparing town beaches and facilities for possible hurricane force winds, storm surge or flooding, and "keeping an eye on possible rip currents and dangerous water conditions throughout the weekend."
