Madison Among CT School Districts With Best Teachers: New Report

Rankings website Niche.com recently came out with a state list.

MADISON, CT — The teachers in the Madison School District collectively are the 12th best in the state, according to a new ranking by Niche of 2025's Best Schools and Districts.

Madison's teachers received an A+ rating from Niche, and in addition to the teachers, the district also received high marks for its curriculum "and deep commitment to developing well-rounded students through academics, arts, athletics, and community involvement."

Niche provides profiles, reviews, ratings, and personalized recommendations for K-12 schools, colleges, universities, cities, and towns.

The district with the best teachers in the state is New Canaan, which was among over 130 Connecticut school districts that earned a mention in Niche’s ranking of more than 11,000 school districts nationwide.

Westport, Greenwich, Regional School District No. 12 (in Washington Depot) and Wilton round out the top five.

Twenty-one Connecticut districts earned an A+ for their teacher rosters, but not every one of those scored the highest marks for academics. A district's grade for academics was, however, weighted most highly among all the factors in consideration for the teachers score.

The best teachers in America in 2025 are working in the Mariemont City Schools, in Cincinnati, OH, according to Niche, followed by Rye City School teachers, in nearby Westchester County, New York.
