Madison Prepares For Storm Henri By Opening Emergency Shelter
The shelter at the Town Campus Gym will open at 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the first selectwoman.

MADISON, CT — In preparation for the expected onslaught of Hurricane Henri, the town of Madison is opening an emergency shelter at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Town Campus Gym at 8 Campus Drive.
First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons informed residents the Board of Selectmen issued a Declaration of Emergency in preparation for the storm, which is expected to arrive in the area by 4 a.m. Sunday and make landfall near Madison around 8 p.m. Sunday evening.
The town issued a Mandatory Emergency Evacuation Order for all residents south of Boston Post Road. Localized messages were sent to residents in the evacuation zone, informing them they must evacuate their homes no later than 9 p.m. Saturday.
