Madison Shockwaves 13U Capture USSSA Summer Challenge Championship, Shine at Nationals

Madison, CT – August 1, 2025 — The Madison Shockwaves 13U travel softball team had an unforgettable summer, capturing the championship at the USSSA Summer Challenge 14U Fastpitch Tournament on July 13 before making a strong showing at the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Shockwaves dominated the USSSA tournament in Montville, CT, going a perfect 6-0 and outscoring their opponents 68-9. The team combined for 51 hits, including 16 doubles, 3 triples, and 2 home runs. Their pitchers racked up 27 strikeouts over the weekend, securing the team’s second tournament win of the summer.
Riding that momentum, the Shockwaves went on to represent Connecticut at the prestigious Summer Nationals, earning four big wins against fierce national competition and proudly showcasing the strength of Madison and Shoreline-area softball.
Madison Travel Softball (MTSB Shockwaves) is currently holding tryouts for the 2025–2026 season. With the addition of three new teams—10U, 12U, and 14U—the program is expanding opportunities for dedicated athletes seeking to grow their game in a competitive and supportive environment.
