Tropical Storm Isaias In Madison: Live Updates

2 p.m. - A Tornado Watch has been issued for the region by the National Weather Service until 4:30 p.m.

2:45 p.m. - The Madison 911 Dispatchers Facebook page explained how to report storm damage:
If you see electrical lines/equipment on the ground or if you see fire, smoke or arcing from electrical equipment, call 911 immediately. If you are simply reporting a tree down with no power lines involved, please call the routine number for Public Works at 203-245-5684 or the Police Department at 203-245-6500.
3:45 p.m. - Eversource is reporting that 2,957 Madison customers are without power.
The utility says the outage represents 32 percent of the more than 9,200 customers.
5:25 p.m. An update from state emergency management officials.
We expect the storm to move out within the next 2-3 hours with some higher wind gusts possible on the back end of this storm. Do not go near downed power lines, call 911 if you come across any downed lines!

5:30 p.m. Eversource is reporting that 6,606 Madison customers are without power.
The utility says the outage represents nearly 72 percent of the more than 9,200 customers.
Meanwhile, some say they can't the utility company to report outages, which the utility has acknowledged is being addressed in a Facebook post with no shortage of comments from frustrated customers.
Here's the Eversource response:
We’re experiencing issues with our automated outage reporting systems. We’re aware of the significant number of outages across the state, and are actively working to assess the damage. All of our crews and additional resources are ready to begin restoration when it is safe.

9 p.m. - Eversource reports that 7,207 Madison customers re without power.
That means that more than 78 percent of all Madison electric company customers are without electricity tonight.
