Husband is Steve. Married to him almost 45 yrs. 2 daughters, ages 37 and 38. The younger is a realtor and the older is a social worker. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren.

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
No

Why are you seeking this office?
I care deeply about the Manchester schools.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
the fact that a great many of the students are below grade level for reading and math. I will encourage small group and individualized tutoring with the use of community volunteers and A.P. students. I also will encourage increased parental involvement and advocate for an elimination of social promotion to the next grade level if a student is not where they should be

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
The democrats have allowed poor academic performance and have allowed social promotions.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Oversight of the curriculum so that there is no hidden agendas such as pushing a hidden agenda that parents may not aporove of.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I am a clinical social worker with over 50 yrs experience in clinics and schools. I have overseen social work graduate students in their internships in CT public schools as adjunct faculty at the University of ST. Joseph.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Have faith, do your best and never give up.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have insight, integrity, and many yrs of professional experience as a social worker with the issues that children face which may impact their educational experience.
