Previous public office, appointive or elective:
If elected, this will be my third term on the Board of Directors. Before that, in 2004, I was appointed to the Human Relations Commission, in 2019 to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and to the Bennet Housing Corp.
Why are you seeking this office?
My commitment has always been rooted in service, listening to people’s concerns, and creating bridges where there have been divides. I’m running to continue the type of work that strengthens transparency, supports small businesses, uplifts working families, and makes sure our policies reflect compassion and common sense. I take that responsibility very seriously.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is the rising cost of living and its impact on housing, families, and local businesses. Too many of our residents are struggling to keep up with necessities, while small businesses are facing higher costs across the board.
I intend to continue advocating for a smart, balanced budget that protects essential services while exploring new ways to make Manchester more affordable.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have a proven record of showing up for people, not just during election season, but year-round. I've worked hard to build partnerships that actually move our community forward.
My leadership style is collaborative and compassionate. I try to stay focused on finding solutions rather than assigning blame. I don’t make decisions based on politics or pressure; I make them based on what’s best. I understand our challenges not from a distance, but from my lived experience. I’ve had the honor of being part of groups that make change happen through initiatives that celebrate diversity and strengthen trust in local government.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Beyond affordability and cost of living, I intend to address several key issues that affect the quality of life for all Manchester residents. I want to continue focusing on housing for working families, seniors, and young people who want to stay in our community.
I’ll also prioritize economic development, supporting small businesses and creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs while maintaining the character and vibrancy that makes Manchester special.
Lastly, I’ll continue to champion transparency, inclusion, and civic engagement, ensuring that every resident has a voice in shaping the future of our town.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I’m proud of the work I’ve done to make Manchester a more connected, inclusive community. During my time on the Board of Directors, I’ve helped address issues that matter most to residents, from supporting responsible budgeting and affordable housing initiatives to expanding community engagement and cultural programs that reflect the diversity of our town.
Beyond Town Hall, I serve on various committees and boards that focus on equity and access, thus ensuring that our policies and partnerships reflect the needs of all residents. I believe my track record shows that I don’t just talk about community, I put in the work to strengthen it. I am deeply committed to doing what it takes to ensure Manchester continues to thrive.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice anyone ever gave me was to lead with empathy, even when it’s hard. That stuck with me, because in public service you’re going to hear a lot of opinions, some kind, some not, but you always have to treat people with respect, even when you disagree.
So, try to approach every situation with that mindset. Even when we don’t agree, I listen and I care. That’s what keeps me grounded and reminds me why I do this work, because at the end of the day, it will always be people over politics for me.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
What I want voters to know is that I truly love this community. Manchester has given my family and me so much, and everything I do comes from that deep sense of gratitude and responsibility.
I’m not in this for politics or titles. I’m in it because I care about families trying to make ends meet, small businesses working hard to stay open, and about making sure everyone feels represented and respected.
My goal is simple: to keep Manchester moving forward. Whether you voted for me before or not, I’ll always show up and work hard for you.
