Why are you seeking this office?
I was concerned with the direction the town was taking under the current majority
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Poor decisions and overspending by the current majority. I feel the town’s priorities are misplaced and we need to focus on Quality of Life issues. I feel I will bring a voice of reason to the board. I can’t change what has already been done but would look to cut any future areas of town spending that appear frivolous and would work to bring more businesses to town to offset the tax burden on our homeowners.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have lived in the East Side of Manchester for 39 yrs & have been heavily involved in various volunteer activities including the East Side Neighborhood Blockwatch, Rebuilding Together, the Cheney Commission, the BOCA committee, the School Repurposing Committee, Imagine Main Street, and MACC Charities. I care deeply about our town and its residents and feel I have a unique perspective living in the heart of downtown rather than in the outskirts of downtown.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
The public should be given the opportunity to vote on the future of our Main St. The town also needs to focus on the need to upgrade our Senior Center.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
As stated, I have been heavily involved as a volunteer for various committees in town. I have a BA from the University of New York at Albany and have worked as a professional for the past 44 years in the insurance industry.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do what you say you’re going to do
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I hope I have your vote.
