Avoid Broad Street on Saturday Due to Paving Work

The drive down Broad Street has been difficult lately - but it's poised to be even more difficult come Saturday, July 13, 2013. 

That's because the town plans to complete paving of the final portion of Broad Street between Little Street and West Middle Turnpike on Saturday between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

"Motorists should expect to encounter minor traffic delays during this operation. All businesses on Broad Street will be accessible during construction and residents are encouraged to support these businesses during construction," the Town of Manchester said in an email. 

Traffic will proceed on Broad Street Saturday in an alternating one-way fashion.

The town has been undertaking a $3 million reconstruction project of Broad Street since last spring, which is mostly financed through state funds. The project was supposed to be completed by early summer of 2013.
