Broad Street Construction Almost Complete
The Broad Street reconstruction project will largely be completed by the end of August, according to town officials.

If you're tired of driving down Broad Street and being held up by construction crews, that could all be a thing of the past very soon.
Director of Public Works Mark Carlino told Patch Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, that, essentially, the construction work on the $3 million road reconstruction project will be completed by the end of the week.
"By the end of this week, all the other elements of the road reconstruction and streetscape projects are going to be wrapped up," Carlino said, noting that there might still be some landscaping and minor touches that likely would not be completed by then.
The town has been undertaking a $3 million reconstruction project of Broad Street since last spring, which is mostly financed through state funds.
A culvert that runs under a portion of the road will take longer to complete, Carlino said, and that he planned to give a report to the Manchester Board of Directors on the timetable of those repairs by the end of the week.
