Broad Street Work Could Be Done By Late August, Town Says
The project is almost complete, the Town Engineer told Manchester Patch recently.

Tired of driving down Broad Street and being held up by construction work?
Well, you're probably not the only person in town who feels that way. But the town says those crews could all be a distant memory by the end of August.
That's the goal the town has set to complete the $3 million reconstruction project of the roadway.
"We're still shooting for the end of August," Town Enginer Jeff LaMalva told Patch Monday.
LaMalva said all that remains for the project after the town paved the last portion of the road over the weekend is to lay down the top portion of the road surface, which he said should be completed in one night while traffic on the roadway is minimal.
A culvert that runs under a portion of the road still needs to be completed, LaMalva said, a traffic signal at Green Manor Boulevard installed and landscaping work on the traffic island near the intersection of Center Street also needs to be completed before the project can be declared finished.
"By labor day, we're really looking to be out of there," LaMalva said.
The town has been undertaking a $3 million reconstruction project of Broad Street since last spring, which is mostly financed through state funds. The project was supposed to be completed by early summer of 2013, but LaMalva said inclement weather throughout much of the spring and summer thus far has led to some delays.
