Deadline Nears on Cox Cable/WTNH Standoff
A midnight deadline is approaching for Cox Communications to pull WTNH off its lineup in central Connecticut.

In less than six hours, WTNH/ABC may disappear from Cox Communications cable lineup in Manchester and other central Connecticut towns. The deadline of midnight for a contract agreement is nearing and neither company appears to be ready to settle.
WTNH-TV has posted a video on its website explaining the looming deadline and the reasons it hasn't reached an agreement on what it calls a "transmission dispute." The station suggests viewers use an antenna or select an alternative TV provider to continue to watch ABC programming.
Cox Communications states on its website that the owner of WTNH, LIN TV Corporation, "is demanding a huge increase in programming costs."
