Historic Commercial Building On National Register For Sale In Manchester
A commercial building with classic bones and some history behind it is on the market in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — One of Manchester's truly classic commercial buildings — that also happens to be in the National Register of Historic places — is on the market.
Goman and York Property Advisors, LLC, is offering 146 Hartford Road for $2.3 million. It is listed on the commercial property web portal Crexi.
The building, once occupied by a prominent engineering firm, measures 29,465 square feet. It features unique, "turn of the century" architectural details including a grand internal staircase leading up to a library wall with a sliding ladder, along with arched interior doorways and decorative exterior stonework.

According to the Manchester Historical Society, the registry entry corresponds with the Cheney Brothers National Historic District. The building was constructed in 1910 as an office for the Cheney Brothers silk mills. The brick structure is a significant example of early 20th-century architecture and historical preservation, according to the historical society.
Historic tax credits would be available to a buyer.
