Letter: Manchester's Constable

A Patch letter to the editor.

To The Editor:

Greetings everyone, my name is Salvatore Mancini and I am running for re-election to town constable in Manchester this November 5th 2019. It has been an honor to serve these past two years as Constable and I have had a great opportunity to help so many people.

Many ask me, what does a Constable do?

The main job is to serve tax warrants to folks that owe back property, business taxes to the town and to collect those taxes. This is a very humbling job because you’re dealing with people who may be hurting financially and now are faced with this dilemma.

You may say they should have paid on time in the first place, but what I am finding is that there are legitimate reasons to why they may have fallen behind. I have had great success in collecting and working out ways for these folks to work out their problem and to do it with their dignity in tact.

I have done this job with compassion and understanding and will continue to do my best to represent you the taxpayer and our town Tax department with the respect and professionalism that you deserve. I ask for your support once again and especially your vote this November 5th, 2019. Thank you.
