MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester’s Hobby Lobby store has move to a new location.

And it's a whopping 1.8 miles away from its former address.

The move became official to begin this week when the store previously at 241 Buckland St. relocated to 120 Hale Road.

The Buckland Street store was located at the back end of the plaza shared with Home Depot. It is now at the plaza formerly anchored by The Christmas Tree Shops.

Brian Watrous is the store manager of the new 44,000 square-foot Hobby Lobby.

"We are always striving to better serve our Manchester customers. This move will heighten their service and shopping experience," said Kelly Black, Hobby Lobby's assistant vice president of advertising.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
