MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester Road Race officials have scheduled several events during the month of November during which runners will be able to register in-person and pick up their bibs for the famed Thanksgiving Day run.

Although on-line registration will be available 24-hours a day at www.manchesterroadrace.com through Nov. 25, entrants who wish to have their bibs mailed to them must sign up before Nov. 1. There is a $20 mailing fee.

The schedule of in-person registration and bib pick-up dates for the 89th Manchester Road Race is as follows:

  • Saturday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Manchester High School cafeteria, 134 East Middle Turnpike in Manchester. (The event is being held in conjunction with the annual MRR Health & Fitness Expo)
  • Sunday Nov. 23, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Marathon Sports, 63 Hebron Avenue, in Glastonbury
  • Monday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fleet Feet, 1003 Farmington Ave., in West Hartford
  • Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Urban Lodge Brewing Company, 47 Purnell Place, in Manchester

Registration for the road race closes completely at 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 25.

BIB PICK UP ONLY will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cone Gym at Bennet Academy, 1151 Main St. in Manchester. There will no registration or bib pickup on the day of the race.

The Manchester Road Race will be staged for the 89th time on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) at 10 a.m. It is run on a 4.737-mile loop course through the town's central streets that starts and finishes on Main Street, in front of St. James Church.

The MRR, which is regarded as one of America’s largest and most popular Turkey Day runs, is organized by more than 400 volunteers from the Manchester Road Race, with support from the Town of Manchester. The principal financial sponsors are Hoffman Lexus, Orthopedic Associates of Hartford, Pratt & Whitney, and Hartford HealthCare.
