'Micro School' Poised To Fill Main Street Vacancy In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A "micro school" is poised to open later this month in Manchester.

"Hello ... We are opening our doors ... Apogee CT next month," declared a social media posting.

The Apogee sign is draped across a storefront at 975 Main St. It's a former real estate office.

Apogee describes its mission as. "Education as we know it has been standardized, creativity stifled and kids health is at an all time low. Apogee is about empowering families and equipping children to be healthy (inside and out), to think critically and boldly and grow with purpose."

It touts real-life experience in its curriculum.

Apogee is also hiring a full- and part-time "guide" for its program.

"We also offer evening fitness for children and looking to hire a coach for that program," Apogee said on social media.
