MANCHESTER, CT — The Manchester Charter Revision Commission is recommending salary "adjustments," i.e., raises for certain elected officials.

The commission hosted a public hearing on the matter Tuesday. The raises are being recommended "to reflect their increasing workload and responsibilities," along with the cost of living.

Mayor

  • Old salary: $3,000
  • New salary: $15,000

Deputy Mayor

  • New salary: $10,000

Board Secretary

  • Old salary: $2,400
  • New salary: $10,000

Minority Caucus Leader

  • Old salary: $2,000
  • New salary: $9,000

  • New salary: $8,000
