A big CT Lottery payday has emerged from a small town.

NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT — A big CT Lottery prize has come out of a small Eastern Connecticut hamlet.
On Tuesday, a player named "Edward B" from Charlton, MA, cashed in a ticket worth $51,112 from the Cash 5 game.
The ticket was purchased at Quick Mart & Smoke in the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson.

Cash5 costs $1 per wager and players have the option of adding the "KICKER" option for an additional 50 cents per wager to increase chances to win more often and win more prize levels.
Players fill in a Cash5 play slip by choosing five different numbers from 1 to 35 or choosing quick pick numbers chosen by the the lottery terminal at random.
