Bread Box Theater Posts Fall Concert Lineup

WILLIMANTIC, CT — The Bread Box Folk Theater has announced its fall 2024 music series featuring a special lineup of concerts dedicated to supporting the Covenant Soup Kitchen.

As a nonprofit organization committed to using the arts to uplift our community, The Bread Box Folk Theater will direct all proceeds from this season's events to benefit the services provided by the Covenant Soup Kitchen.

The Fall 2024 Music Series begins on Sept. and will run through Dec. 15, with performances taking place various Sundays at 4 p.m.

The Bread Box Folk Theater is located at 220 Valley Street in Willimantic.

Each event will feature a diverse array of folk musicians who share a common purpose: to bring people together through music while making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, organizer Bruce John said.

"This music series is more than just a celebration of folk traditions — it's a way for our community to come together in support of a cause that touches the lives of so many," said Therese John, the co-director of The Bread Box Folk Theater. "We're honored to partner with the Covenant Soup Kitchen and to use our platform to help ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential resources."

The Bread Box Folk Theater has a long history of community engagement, and this year's music series continues that tradition by directly supporting the Covenant Soup Kitchen's mission to provide food, shelter, and care to those in need. In 15 years, the Bread Box has raised $267,000 for CSK. In addition to enjoying an evening of live music, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the soup kitchen's work and how they can contribute to the cause.
