Bread Box Welcoming Bluegrass Sensation For Early November Show
The Bread Box Folk Theater is a volunteer-run, non-profit music venue dedicated to raising funds for the Covenant Soup Kitchen.

WILLIMANTIC, CT — The Bread Box Folk Theater is welcoming bluegrass sensation The Ruta Beggars to its stage for a special performance on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Showtime is at 4 p.m.
The Bread Box is Located at 220 Valley Street in Willimantic and is a non-profit venue that raises funds to support the Covenant Soup Kitchen.

The Ruta Beggars bring a fresh twist to traditional bluegrass, blending tight harmonies, virtuosic instrumental work, and a deep respect for the genre’s roots with a modern sensibility. Hailing from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, this dynamic group has captivated audiences across the country with their vibrant energy and exceptional musicianship. Their sound pays homage to classic bluegrass while incorporating contemporary influences, making them one of the most exciting new acts on the folk and bluegrass scene. Since 2018 they have brought the joy of their live show to audiences across the US and Canada from festival stages to storied folk listening rooms and as support for legacy acts Lyle Lovett and Ricky Skaggs. The Ruta Beggars are 2019 Thomas Point band competition winners, 2023 IBMA official showcasing artists, Freshgrass Foundation commissioned composers, Freshgrass Award finalists, and Skyline Records artists.
Attendees of this performance will not only experience an afternoon of exceptional music but will also be supporting the Covenant Soup Kitchen, a local organization dedicated to providing food, services, and hope to individuals and families in need in the Willimantic area.
