Christmas Shopping for a Cause

Proceeds from the Storrs Congregational Church (UCC) Holiday Fair on Dec. 6 and 7 will benefit area residents in need

Want to do well by doing good this holiday season?

The Storrs Congregational Church Holiday Fair will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and from 11 a.m. until 1 pm. Sunday, with proceeds benefitting two worthy causes.

Seventy-five percent of the profits will go to the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) General Fund, which helps hundreds of area families each year stay housed and keep the heat and lights on. Twenty-five percent will go to the Storrs Congregational Church Minister’s Discretionary Fund, which responds to community members’ requests for emergency financial assistance.
