Crashes Leave Trails Of Damage In Mansfield, Teen Charged: Warrants
A teen has been charged on two warrants after a sequence of crashes, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — An 18-year-old from Rocky Hill has been charged on two warrants for a sequence of car crashes that left a trail of damage in Mansfield, state police said.
The crashes occurred on Sept. 15, state police said.
In one instance, at 10:44 a.m., the mailboxes at seven addresses on Forest Road were knocked over and parts from a black Audi Q7 were located at the scene. The damage on the street totaled $920, according to a warrant.

The same vehicle had crashed into a wall near Ridge Circle 58 minutes earlier, according to a warrant.
The car was identified via surveillance footage, state police said.

For those incidents, the teen was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a lane violation and evading responsibility. He posted a $25,000 bond and is due on court on Dec. 4, state police said.
That same day, the same vehicle knocked over a stop sign and a fence and left a trail of debris in the road along the 100 block of Bone Mill Road, according to a warrant.
For all that, the teen was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a lane violation and evading responsibility, according to a warrant.
The charges cost the teen another $25,000 bond with the same court date.
