CSMNH Fall POP UP Events

Herp Walk with Dr. Susan Herrick and Fall Colors Walk with Dr. Sarah Taylor

The Museum is trying something a little different this fall, with seasonal programming timed to the rhythms of nature.

We will be offering two pop-up events this fall:

Herp Walk with Dr. Susan Herrick
and
Fall Colors Walk with Dr. Sarah Taylor

These events will be scheduled on short notice by the experts leading the hikes, based on indicators from nature.

For the Herp Walk, this will be based on herp behavior and data observed during the past year of the Reptile and Amphibian Diversity Study at Allanach-Wolf Woodlands. We anticipate going out on a Saturday morning between 10am-12pm in mid-September. Those interested in participating are asked to join the email list for upcoming herp activities and we will send out an email a week before the date selected for the event. https://s.uconn.edu/herp-walk-popup

For the Fall Colors Walk, we'll be watching the trees around campus—and the weather!—and will schedule this walking tour of the Horsebarn Hill area on a fall afternoon from 4:30-5:30pm between October 15 and October 25. We hope this will give folks an opportunity to grab a snack at the UConn Dairy Bar after work or class, and allow us maximum flexibility to schedule based on how the leaves are turning. Please RSVP to get a notification when the date is set! https://s.uconn.edu/fall-colors-popup
