A bad situation turned into a good deed last week in Mansfield, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — A bad day on the road turned into a good deed one day last week when a driver who collided with a pedestrian in Mansfield took the man to a hospital on her own.

State police released details of the July 9 incident this week.

According to a crash report, at 10:57 a.m. that day, a 62-year-old local man began crossing Storrs Road and a car, with a 62-year-old Georgia woman driving, began turning right out of the Big Y supermarket parking lot.

State police said in a report that, due to "conflicting information" with those involved, "no enforcement action was taken."
