MANSFIELD, CT — AS 32-year-old driver from Colchester has been charged in connection with a June 8 crash on Cedar Swamp Road in Mansfield, state police said.

The man was served a warrant on May 23 that charged him with a seat belt violation, driving an unregistered vehicle, the improper use of a plate, driving under the influence and a lane violation in connection with a crash on Cedar Swamp Road.

The crash took place at 11:01 a.m. on Cedar Swamp, about two-tenths-of-a-mile east of Storrs Road, according to a crash report.

A vehicle veered off the road and hit a utility pole, according to a crash report.

The driver was taken to Windham Hospital with minor injuries. While there, he tested for a blood alcohol level of .09, which is above the legal limit of .08, according to a crash report.
