Fire At Mansfield Alpaca Farm Turns Fatal, Responder Also Hurt
A woman died and a fire official was hurt in an incident at a farm in Mansfield Tuesday.

MANSFIELD, CT — A fire at an alpaca farm in Mansfield took the life of a 79-year-old woman, authorities said.
The farm is located at 441 Warrenville Road.
The fire broke out at Khuyay Farm at 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, authorities said.

The deceased was identified as Carol Dauphin, of Mansfield. She was transported to an area hospital and pronounced later the same day.
State police said Mansfield Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Danielson, sustained burns while performing rescue efforts at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
