Back to School in Mansfield on Wednesday, Aug. 28

Mansfield Public Schools will reopen for the 2013-2014 school year on Aug. 28, a Wednesday.

Certified and noncertified staff in the district will start two days earlier, on Monday, Aug. 26.

This year's school calendar will run until June 20, 2014. That will be the last day of school for students. The last day of school for district's staff will be June 23, 2014.

The school year calendar includes five extra days for weather-related closings. If these days are not needed, the last school day will be adjusted accordingly. If the district uses all five of those days, it will consider using professional development days in March November, and October to make up the lost days. In all, the calendar this year includes 183 school days.
