"The milestone was made possible by the dedication of over 4,500 students who came together to support the patient families who rely on Connecticut Children's for life-changing care.
"HuskyTHON originally challenged its participants to raise $375,000 on February 26, 2025, but through the collective efforts of students, donors, and supporters, the community exceeded all expectations. Every dollar raised contributes to the final total that will be revealed at HuskyTHON's 18-hour Dance Marathon, Night-Of, on March 8, 2025.
"This year, HuskyTHON expanded its Day of Strength Headquarters with the addition of Day of Strength After-Dark. This late-night event featured in-person fundraising challenges, virtual games with a Connecticut Children's Patient Ambassador, awards for the internal members, a live band, and a high-energy DJ battle, culminating in the highly anticipated Day of Strength total fundraising reveal at midnight.
"With the momentum from this record-breaking Day of Strength, HuskyTHON now turns its focus to Night-Of, the final fundraising push and celebration of a year's worth of dedication and effort. As participants prepare to dance for 18 hours in support of Connecticut Children's, the HuskyTHON community remains committed to its mission: change kids' health, change the future. Donations can still be made at huskython.org by clicking the 'Donate' button or by texting UConn to 51-555."
