MANSFIELD, CT — The flea market at the Mansfield Drive-In has now been in business for a half-century.

The Mansfield Marketplace, eastern Connecticut's largest flea market, will be open for its 50th consecutive season starting Sunday, March 23.

"Although I was not involved in 1975 when the flea market started, my husband Michael said that there were only a few vendors then," current owner, Janet Jungden said. "Evidently, vendors used to set up inside the snack bar and on the patio. Now on a beautiful Sunday morning, we can expect 5,000 buyers and 300-plus vendors with something for everyone — especially that unique treasure that you can only find at a flea market."
