Mansfield Evading Driver's Hiding Place Wasn't Something To Bank On: State Police
A driver tried to hide after a hitting a utility pole in Mansfield, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — A car hit a pole over the weekend in Mansfield and the driver decided to hide after the crash, state police said.
State police said the accident occurred Saturday at about 10 a.m. on Storrs Road near Flaherty Road.
According to a crash report, A 2012 Infiniti G25 with a 22-year-old Vernon man driving was headed north and suddenly ran off the road and hit a Frontier pole.

The driver then evaded the scene and parked at a nearby Liberty Bank branch, according to a crash report.
A trooper then noticed the car and pulled into the lot, according to a crash report.

And it apparently wasn't difficult to find. A crash report said the car had two flat tires on the passenger side and bumper-to-bumper damage on the passenger side, according to a crash report.
The driver was issued a summons.
