Mansfield Serial Burglar Sentenced
Kristin L. Gardiner was accused of breaking into numerous homes in Mansfield and pawning stolen jewelry at the East Brook Mall, among other charges.

After several appearances on the docket, the Mansfield woman accused of committing a series of burglaries in town was sentenced in Superior Court on Thursday.
Kristin L. Gardiner was given 15 years in prison, suspended after five, and five years probation, according to a report by the Hartford Courant.
A Rockville Superior Court judge handed down the sentence following Gardiner's recent arrest at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester, where she was charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree trespassing and carrying a dangerous weapon, after police say she stole two purses from Hollister's and ran from security while carrying a tire iron, according to a report from the Manchester Police Department.
Gardiner was last arrested in Mansfield on January 25, according to reports from Connecticut State Police, Troop C.
